This is a view of Bridge Street, taken from the bridge that used to exist there between Springfield and West Springfield. The Trinity Methodist Episcopal Church is visible in the far background.
The current Memorial Bridge is further south than the old toll bridge, as shown by this modified Google map:

Not surprisingly, it once connected Bridge St. in Springfield to Bridge St. in West Springfield.
