This is a view of the First National Bank building. It was situated on the block directly across from Court Square, between Sanford St. (now gone) and East Court St. The site is currently occupied by the Mass Mutual Center.

First National Bank block

This block stood at the southeast corner of Main and Hillman Streets. This building is no longer standing, the site is currently occupied by part of the SIS building. It housed the Third National Bank and what is described as a family hotel, called the Evans House.

This is the SIS building. The block was located on the corner of Main and State Streets, on the corner currently occupied by the Mass Mutual Convention Center. It was constructed in 1867, I do not know when it was torn down.

This block was located opposite Court Square, where the MassMutual center currently stands. Other visible businesses are:

• Frank G. Tobey, dealer in hats, caps, and gentleman's furnishing goods
• N.B. Clark & Co., Manufacturers and Dealers in cigars & tobacco.
• Moore Brothers, Photographic Artists
