Tapley School

The Tapley school opened up in the burgeoning McKnight neighborhood in 1888. It was mostly closed as a school in 1975, finally vacated in 1981, and was converted to apartments in 1994.
This picture is from the book Picturesque Hampden, published in 1891. It was referred to as Bay Street School, but I don't think it was ever officially called that.

Tapley School
I am in the process of getting a hold of much original history from the beginnings of this school. I've learned that it was used as a college for negro teachers back in the 1800's and wondered if I might sell this collection of history from our city. I understand that there is a photograph of some of the people who attended, as well as newspaper article, and many other pages of history from the school. I'm looking foreward to receiving it to see just what is in the collection.
I'm hoping someone can help me with some information on what I can go about doing with this. Thank you very much.
